Tom Fehr, CFP

Tom Fehr is a Certified Financial Planner and co-owner of Castle Investment Services (Prairie Region). A locally grown financial talent, Tom makes Winnipeg his home and finds the summers are what make the heart of Manitoba a great place to live.

With a Diploma in Business Administration (Hons.) from Red River Community College, Tom brings a natural curiosity and dedication to the field of finance. Tom likes to conduct independent research to construct a sound investment plan with deep roots. 

Tom has achieved his Certified Financial Planning Designation and previously worked for the Royal Bank of Canada as a Personal Banker. Tom left the bank in 1997 to work independently, and to focus on giving individuals more personalized financial advice.

Karen Sparrow, Financial Advisor 

Karen is a talented and proven entrepreneur, who has worked in Finance for over 30 years. She is currently co-owner of Castle Investment Services (Prairie Region) and owner of Castle Insurance Group Inc. 

She is a Financial Advisor who is local to Winnipeg. She graduated  from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Commerce (honours) degree, earned her accounting designation (CPA, CMA),  and she is qualified to sell life insurance products and mutual funds. 

With the strength of her reputation, education, and a holistic view of finance that cannot be taught, Karen prides herself on simplifying complex information. She loves to help people protect what matters to them most so that they can achieve their dreams. 

Karen draws inspiration from the words of world-renowned investor and philanthropist Warren Buffet, who said, "Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.” With Karen, it is definitely about providing value to her clients.

When not at work, you can find Karen on the golf course or spending time with her 3 beautiful granddaughters.


 

Meghan Fehr, Administrative & Marketing Assistant 

Meghan was born and raised in Winnipeg. Meghan has her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Winnipeg and a Diploma in Business - Finance from Fanshawe College.  A natural with numbers, Meghan’s true satisfaction comes from her ability to work with people. She enjoys a challenge and being creative with her strategies, drawing on her strong ability to get to know a client’s needs and motivations. Meghan has an appreciation for Winnipeg arts and culture. When not at work, she has surprised herself by taking up cycling – and enjoying it!


 

Katherine Fehr, Administrative Assistant 

Katherine provides the foundation of in-office support upon which Castle Investment Services stands. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Katherine exudes a healthy dose of that friendly nature our city is known for. 

Katherine enjoys being part of the family at Castle Investment Services. Her attention to detail elevates the skills of the entire team, keeping everyone around her at their best. 

Katherine loves summer and when she’s not at work, you can find her at the gym.


 

Tara Podaima, Client Care Specialist/Administrative Assistant

As a graduate of the Culinary Arts Program at Red River College with over 20 years in the hospitality industry, Tara wanted to try something different. Enter the world of finance! While it may seem like quite a leap, there is a surprising amount of overlap in the skills necessary to anticipate client needs and execute complex tasks - and some equally demanding environments. 

Tara has a thorough work ethic valuing thoughtfulness, respect, and the ability to accomplish tasks quickly, giving care to a variety of tasks with high-priority, no matter how small. In other words, she is not satisfied until her clients are satisfied. She has honed her customer care skills to an art and has the ability to sense what people need almost before they ask. 

Tara is motivated by a strong sense of satisfaction of having helped others in her work and has a deep appreciation for life-long learning. She believes in others and enjoys the great sense of community present among our local businesses, makers, and artists. 

Despite living a busy and active lifestyle, Tara stays grounded by spending time with her husband and son, and pursuing many hobbies such as camping, reading, and knitting.
